NOW Food Enzymes, Betaine and Bitterness....

It's been 3 days since I started the protocol ala Robb Wolf. It seems to make a difference and I can feel some changes. Now half-way through day 3 I went to have my normal ice tea (unsweetened, black) and literally almost gagged. The bitterness was overpowering, not sure I can even bring myself to try coffee. My wife assures me it tastes like normal black tea. Can anyone think of anything that could cause a person to become suddenly sensitive to bitterness?

My mouth taste a little funny but nothing significant.

Food tastes normal, fish, rice, vinegar, herbal tea, salt, all taste fine.

It's just bitter things that seem roughly 10x more bitter.
