Hack How Paleo Men Taste

Answered on August 19, 2014
Created May 19, 2011 at 4:31 PM

The post about gagging on butter got me to thinking. Now dairy is reputed to make men taste bad. Does that apply to butter as well? And given that we don't usually eat pineapple (high glycemic) which is supposed to make men taste good, what Paleo foods can a Paleo man eat in order to taste good?

Of course, I know that the Paleo ladies on here don't have any DIRECT experience with this, but maybe they can report what their girlfriends or GBFFs have to say on the matter.

Jillian, so are you saying that it just has no taste at all? Do you plan to incorporating this more into your play now that you've made this discovery? Any comments from your husband on your tasted (provided a sampling was taken)?

Oh, hell. I too am in the "swallowing" category and definitely with you @lunabelle. Fortunately my latest experiences have been with someone who is also Paleo and well, you're right stating we're in fairly good company, so I'll just be bold and say - yum - . It could be him naturally or it could be because of his lifestyle but my taste buds, literally since the beginning of my transition to Paleo, seem to go into overdrive when um.. things go into my mouth. Food or otherwise :)

RE: The taste test offer... yeah, just because some women are sleazy without morals...doesn't mean that I am. I'm not a Christain so I'm not "forgiven"...I don't have a pastor to go to for absolution of my sins... I actually have to answer to myself for, and be responsible for my actions... So I never violate my moral values nor deviate from the standards I set for myself. Here lately, I'm told it's a little on the strong side...but not anything bad.

Why 2lbs of chicken and 1lb of beef? Because that's all I can hold. And It takes a few thousand calories each day to support my physical activities. I'm still little because I undereat. And at the time of the taste test offer in question. 210lbs at less than 7% body fat... that takes a great deal of food.

Okay CaveRat, I have some experience with this. I went on a trip to Hawaii one time and the girl starts putting tropical fruit up her Va-Jay-Jay. She later got some sort of yeast infect. Not pretty. Of course, that is externally applied. Believe me, women need to be concerned with this also. Let's just say that The South ain't always sweet. And sometimes I've had to come up with some lame excuse in order to retreat.

I laughed out loud on this one - partially because I was recently wondering the same thing! What sparked it was noticing that I was in "ketosis" - suddenly my pee smells sort of like asparagus but less intense and 'muskier' (more fat, more exercise, less lunch). So naturally - of course - I went to the obvious question and wondered what ELSE would be impacted... We definitely need a double-blind... I mean a blind... I mean... ok nevermind.

This is going to sound rather crude, but it looks like I'm in fairly good company in this thread, so here goes:

I've always been a -- ahem -- swallower, and enjoyed the taste very much. Since going paleo (my boyfriend is NOT paleo) the taste of him has either changed, or my taste buds have changed drastically. The last few times we've had oral sex, I've almost puked at the taste.

I realize this doesn't answer the question directly, I've never actually tasted a paleo man. But if it's any help at all, the taste of a non-paleo man--to a paleo woman's now refined sense of taste--is almost a deal breaker.

BYOG (bring your own Grok) or one will be provided. We will of course be offering a return engagement for the ladies for the following month, switching roles of course. Paleo has now moved into the Paleo Porn realm...the first and last acceptance.

Girl & her boyfriend go to the pub. When it's the girl's turn to buy a round, she tells him that she's heard of a wonderful new drink he simply must try. She returns with the usual half of lager for herself. For him, she has two glasses. One contains a measure of Bailey's, the other lime juice.

Instructions: "OK, what you gotta do is, you gotta swig the Bailey's, hold it in your mouth, and then drink the lime juice." He looks a bit dubious, but she's very enthusiastic so he decides to give it a go.

First the Bailey's; lovely smooth, creamy, warm feeling in the mouth. Then he takes the lime juice.

T + 0.1 secs: The cream in the Bailey's curdles.

T + 0.3 secs: Boyfriend's face turns the color of fresh lime juice.

T + 0.6 secs: Boyfriend calms his stomach & swallows the gunge.

T + 1.5 secs: She whispers in his ear.... It's called Blowjob revenge"

I must chime in as I had been thinking about this question just this week.

I have been married to my husband for almost 7 years and we at like crap. Lots of processes foods, a ton of baked goods and a ton of dairy.

During that time I was reluctant to perform certain acts because the taste of it would make me gag. And lets me honest that is not the most loving gesture.

I hadn't really thought about it until the other day we were spending some time together and I gave in and was like "Oh..Okay, if you really want to" I was dreading it and I was totally surprised.

We have been Paleo for 5 months now and although my husband still has trouble cheating with Diet pop and some sugar, he does eat some butter occasionally. There has been a noticeable difference, like no taste.

I have been open to it far more often and it is just another one of the Dozens of reason why Paleo is the way to go.

And I don't think this is a crude topic, especially among women, If someone would have told me it might happen I would have tried sooner.

In general fresh, and well hydrated is better. Smell is also a key, stuff that makes you smell off to yourself will probably also make you taste off.

There is a slight goat lke note I personally think might. Be due to higher testosterone, which I like, but which can be contraversial.

In my recent experience:

Positive correlations have been fruit, chocolate, honey, and beets. I am also partial to lots of garlic, but I have been made aware over the years that is a pretty contentious position. (I've noticed that taste generally, um, comes through more loud and clear in lady juices, anyway.)

Negative have been antibiotics (the worst!--I am nauseous just thinking about it) and lengthy VLC bouts.

I have never considered the effect of butter on such matters, although it reminded me of the Japanese insult "Bata-kusai" or "butter stinker". I wonder if there is an equivalent term for a butter taster?

Works for women too! I got back with an ex-boyfriend who knew me before and after and he said I tasted better. I was floored! I was eating pretty decently before the change, no pop, occasional processed food etc. I had already stopped eating veg oils and always hated margarine. So just imaging the change when someone's starting point is SAD.

Best part of the story is although we're no longer together, he's finally gone fully paleo and is feeling great. I have to ask his current gf to tell me how he tastes :)

I always thought that was a myth of sorts. I've never been able to prove anything one way or the other. Vegetarians vs meat eaters, pineapple etc. Sometimes there is a taste that is distinctly metallic, which I attribute to a diet and lifestyle with lots of chemicals in it. I also think some multi-vitamins may contribute to an overall funky taste.

And at the time of the taste test offer in question. 210lbs at less than 7% body fat... that takes a great deal of food.

My girlfriend's favorite food is chicken nuggets, so like... I guess I should eat more chicken soup. Here's to hoping...

Her favorite drink is that caramel macchiato concoction thing from Starbucks. If I tasted like that... god I'm scared to even imagine what I might be capable of doing to myself...

Hydration's important. Wouldn't want to blow out a cloud of powdered milk...

If she likes raw milk, it's a no-brainer.

You would be better off going for something that tastes like her favorite drink.

Hahahaha, coffee, heavy cream, bit of honey. Make sure you are hydrated.

Maybe you should talk to gone2Croatan's boy toy. Sounds like he's got the chicken taste down.

Meat makes jiz taste good, just like it makes body odor and breath smell great.

So can I assume there are some additional nuts to add to the Paleo approved list?
