Glycerin and gelatin seem to be in a lot of supplements.

What is your opinion on them?

I prefer making my own gelatin - a very highly concentrating bone broth. Or you can buy Great Lakes Kosher and make your own jello with berries.

Completely harmless.

Glycerin is found in most of the dietary fat we eat. Gelatin is made from animal collagen and a lot of people think it may even be beneficial: http://paleohacks.com/questions/15693/anybody-supplementing-with-gelatin#axzz1wejOQFCX

Usually gelatin and glycerin should only be found in gel caps. Stuff like fish oil, flax oil, those kinds of things.

Some of the cheaper end supplements could use them as fillers, but they're also the same folks that tend to add colors to their supplements as well. Do some research and learn about the brand before you buy them.
