heart rate higher and pinching/twingy feeling

My heart feels tired. I am going to see a doctor soon just to rule out any big problems. In the mean time, I am curious if anyone has had this happen...

After quitting the sugar addiction through eating a paleo diet, I have been feeling a heavy heart at times. That's the best way I can describe it. Almost like the coconut oil is clogging my arteries ( I know the research about its benefits but I do laugh at how we can be programmed) I also feel twinges/pinches sometimes. I end up with a higher heart rate b/c I become anxious/scared. I wonder if I am in detox from getting off the sugar and wheat (7 days) and it will subside after a while. Or if it is some vitamin deficiency (Magnesium? Something else??) that is rearing its head. I wonder if the higher heart rate I had when I ate sugar and being under the spell masked these feelings I am having now.

I am trying to understand and be aware of many factors. Any thoughts? Any ideas I could investigate would be welcome. Thank you.

That all makes sense as I think maybe I am underestimating the amount of healing I am doing, from the sugar/poison. Thanks Bro!

That is highly probable, as I have been eating 4 or so small paleo meals a day. I feel like I cannot fit large meals in physically, so I have been grazing more than dining. I hope that as I go along, with healing, I will be able to eat more at a meal. I need to grab my grandma's BP machine... thanks for the ideas, August!

I'll bet your eating too fatty. You have to teach your body how to function with out so much sugar before you can teach it to use fats more effectively. When switching to a paleo diet you are starting the complex process of healing such will have its own symptoms by its self. Keep lean meats present as well as plenty of vegetables. For sugar there are a few approaches. Depending on what you are currently suffering from will determine if starches will affect you in a negative way. Switching from potatoes to bananas or berries might be an option. Try white meat fish or chicken/turkey for a while. Slowly introduce an avocado after a few days, maybe half with a meal at first. It's good to eat meat and veggies first and fruit last. I introducing coconut oil would be a good start as far as healing goes. Cook your meat in it and use the leftover oil to dip your food in. No more than a tbsp though. If you go over board on it, the healing effects and fatty affects might contribute to a little anxiety.

You probably need more food. When I was in a strong calorie deficit I would get some really weird things going on with my heart. It would do this fluttery stuff and initially I thought I was having high blood pressure issues, but when I checked it it was actually low.
