So I follow a 5-6 day low carb paleo diet pretty high in fat, high in protein, and stick pretty much with green leafy veggies. 1 day a week I do carb refeed. VERY high in carbs. I eat a lot of white rice, sweet potatoes, fruit, and I throw in some of my favorite cereals and protein bars in there as well. Pretty much allow myself to eat whatever I want, but for the most part its not too bad. The problem is the very next day when I wake up my eyes are super puffy, and have huge bags under my eyes. The water retention I get around my eyes looks really really bad. My question is, is this from too much salt? too much sugar? to many carbs? drinking too much water? I like following this diet program bc Ive lost a lot of fat, and gained a rediculous amount of muscle as well. What can I do to stop this? Any ideas or suggesstions would be great. Thanks in advance!
