avoiding sugar alcohols in supplements

Hello!

I have been looking for a sublingual methylcobalamin (b-12) supplement, but they all seem to have sugar alcohols (sorbitol, xylitol, mannitol). Does anyone know where to get supplements (specifically methylcobalamin) that do not contain these? I do not know much about them but have a general distrust of synthetic "food products." Perhaps it would be a small enough dose so as to not be an issue? Aspartame has made me a little paranoid of artificial sweeteners...

I was vegan for seven years and am gradually moving to paleo. I have been eating meat, fish, and dairy for several years at this point, but it occurred to me that i might still be deficient in b-12 as a result of the prolonged veganism. I guess sugar alcohol in those quantities likely wouldn't be a concern... I was able to find this, however: http://www.vrp.com/energizers/b12-methylcobalamin

I think the amount of sugar alcohol you would get from a sublingual preparation would be negligible. I personally wouldn't worry about it.

Meat, fish and dairy contain B-12. Are you a vegetarian? In which case I should back off as I have no expertise there. I have heard that xylitol is actually considered good for dental health. What is your specific concern?
