Looking for the best supplement for Stress / Adrenials

Hey guys,

Over a year ago I was told I had stage 3 adrenal fatigue. I didn't do anything about it because I had to many other things messing me up. I'm not even sure I believe in it, all I know is I can't handle stress and it messes my health up.

I'm Paleo now and feel so much better. I need to step things up a gear and sort my stress out.

I can't handle stress, if something small happens, I blow it up haha. I was wondering about supplements, nutrition and lifestyle changes I can make that would make the BIGGEST difference to my stress levels and how I handle it.

Thanks,

Cas

Consider phosphatidylserine, but research carefully the exact type and brand you'll be taking - to be used first thing in the morning typically. See my post in this thread: http://paleohacks.com/questions/12136/has-anyone-tried-adaptogens/12261#12261

I don't think supplementary cortisol is a good idea.

I also have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, my MD had me screened for Addison's and when that came back negative, I pursued it through a Natropath. I take MegaFood's Adrenal strength, it seems to give me what I was lacking nutrient wise.

About a month before starting the supplement I started walking/running/hobbling every few days, I am up to 3.5 and am looking forward to my first 5k in a few weeks. Getting out of my house and into fresh air has really helped clear my "crisis" plate. I have 4 kids, 2 with special needs, and doing this for me is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Before this I was a wreck, I was on anti-depressants for years, life is some much easier now, and ironically, not that much, except ditching the meds and adding exercise has changed.

Maybe not the absolute best supplement but Curcumin is pretty good.

Paleo is a great start! I'd also add 5000iu of vitamin d/day.
