Can Paleo benefit a strength athlete?

There is a wealth of information on how paleo is beneficial for endurance performance but can paleo be effective nutrition for the power or strength athlete?

Pretty much. You can keep to the old broscience macro recommendations, but instead of protein shakes and Pop-Tarts you do eggs and sweet potatoes. You can find a good number of people who suggest "clean eating" for staying healthy while gaining. Well, Paleo-Lifting nutrition is rather similar to the "clean" diet recommendation, sans the whole grain.

Also, if you are sure you can do dairy, then absolutely do it.

Thank you for the feedback. Didn't think of it that way. Simply, adjust the nutrition to your needs.

I believe the diet can be tailored to most any type of regimen you would like it to work for. For strength, you might just add more carbs and protein. Heavy on the sweet potatoes, fruit, etc...some extra nuts, fish, beef.

Beyond being perfect for building muscle, it will also help to keep you healthy in the long run. Add in some bone broth to keep your joints healthy to promote heavy lifting.
