Currently I am suffering from a severely bloated stomach. About a month ago I was diagnosed with a cyst the size of an orange on an ovarian remnant. I am assuming it is growing which is causing my problem but wondered if my diet was exacerbating... (more)
many soft fruits like pears, apples, and peaches are high in fructose which can be bloating. maybe stick to citrus or berries. and if you must do cheese on your eggs, choose a lactose-free one like swiss.
I am on day 9 of paleo. I feel pretty great except for some major bloating. I actually look 3 months pregnant the bloating is so bad. With the exception of a little bit of milk in 1 cup if coffee I'm completely dairy and grain free. Meat, eggs,... (more)
Hey, everytime after eating bacon I get a bad stomach ache. The bacon is organic quality from my farmers market, but it tastes really salty after frying it. Could it be a problem with the salt? And when, what kind of bacon should I ask for? Kind... (more)
Hi. I've had asthma since childhood and been prone to stomach upsets since my teens. Stopping dairy products a couple of years back slightly improved asthma - stomach remained unpredictable! In November 09 I found the Paleo world and stopped... (more)
Does anyone know how long it takes for any extra calories to move from your stomach to adipose tissue? That is, how long after a meal can you be reasonably sure that it won't have any more of an affect on your visible body composition? (more)
Been eating Paleo for about 6 weeks. Couldn't lose any weight until I went to 10-15 carbs a day, which means no nuts or fruit right now, but now I am losing so that is good. However, I have developed a terrible stomach ache that goes off and on... (more)
I seem to be experiencing an odd and quite uncomfortable symptom of not feeling full no matter how much I eat (unless I quite literally eat myself to nausea). I'm certainly getting enough calories, upwards of 3000 due to needing to gain weight.... (more)
I'm asking on behalf of my girlfriend. She is 100% Paleo however she has constant stomach issues when eating fat, as well as carbs (vegetables or fruit) in any amount. Examples would be olive oil on a salad, avocado with steak etc. She has had... (more)

So i just finished the Whole30, and i went on a bit of a binge over the weekend. My partner and i went wine tasting and stayed at a nice cottage in the country. Anyway, the paleo diet went out of the window, and the whole 30 got blown out away. ... (more)
I am so sorry to hear this! I have had acid problems for a few years which I had to take some pretty strong medication for. Since going Paleo though I haven't had acid reflux/pain at all except for once when, similar to you, I had a lot of foods... (more)

I recently started adding fish oil supplementation to my paleo diet but I find that every time I take it my stomach starts to burn. Not necessarily an upset stomach just more like general pain. Is this normal when you first begin taking fish oil?... (more)
Costco sells fish oil in enteric coated capsules. This means they break down until they get to your small intestine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enteric_coating). They have a kind of gross vanilla flavor to them, though.
Heya, I've been on the Paleo diet for about 3 weeks now (started the day after Thanksgiving, haw) and I'm noticing that in the morning, my stomach is really acidy! I had my gallbladder out 6 years ago, and had IBS ever since. That's cleared up a... (more)

I'm still pretty new to paleo, but I think I've figured out where my stomach pains come from. I have a long history of GERD, with enough heartburn to knock out an elephant. I've taken PPI's for the last few years, though I've attempted to wean off... (more)
So, I've been improving somewhat with the GERD but am now wondering if I might have a stomach ulcer. Pain above sternum/sternum, bloating and aching. No dark stools or anything, but I was curious as to if that matched up to symptoms. I'm not... (more)
I have been moderately "Paleo" for the last 30 days and I have noticed that in the last week my stomach has been protruding as if I am pregnant. My diet has been relatively consistent and I am sure I need to add more details for a specific... (more)
"moderately paleo" doesn't tell us too much, we don't know what you're eating. It's likely what you can remove from your diet to help with the bloating, not what you can add. But we need to know what you're eating first.
Hi all! I've been Paleo for six months now and have tried IF and all that to try to lose my muffin top. That got a little too difficult so I recently just switched into Bulletproof "tea" fasting each morning which involves not eating until 2pm or... (more)
