Im trying to find the graph that shows the benefits(or lack of) for statin. It included heart attack patients, non heart patients all cause mortality etc. I have seen this graph a few times. If anyone has a link i would greatly appreciate a link.

Statins have some benefits in some groups - very limited groups though, something like men less than 65 that have had a cardiac infarction if I remember correctly.

To be fair, the question does include "lack of" benefits as an option. PH sems a potentially good place to find that. I'd like that info too, because I'm with you on the "no benefits" thing.

These graphs were presented by Harvard: http://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/statin-use-is-up-cholesterol-levels-are-down-are-americans-hearts-benefiting-201104151518 One thing they mentioned is biocritical PRiORA for people on statin meds which can cause side-effects, in particular muscle pain and weakness. Overall they seem to offer a balanced perspective.

The leading (and perhaps only) benefit of statins is profit for Big Pharma.

This is a trick question. There are no benefits to statins, therefore there is no graph.

Where do I claim my prize?

(Maybe PH isn't the best place to be asking about the benefits of a drug that is central to the whole diet-heart hypothesis).
