So there is the Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, and Warrior Dash. Any other similar races out there like this?

A lightweight version of these is DisneyWorld's Expedition Everest Challenge (http://espnwwos.disney.go.com/events/endurance/expedition-everest-challenge/ ) This is a less dirty kind of obstacle event that is good for people not quite sure if they are ready for the other events mentioned. It takes place inside of the Animal Kingdom park after hours and is a 5K followed by an obstacle course, followed by a scavenger hunt. Run as individuals or teams (side by side, not trading events). Not usually dirty unless it is taking place in a torrential downpour (Oct '09) and you fall off of the Marine hurtles flat on your back on the ground. But if that happens in the downpour I assure you that you will be clean by the time you finish the hunt. This event has now been moved to the spring. Super nice finisher's medals and if you have a family to bring along they can have fun in the park too. The finisher's medal was a flip-close brass compass on a heavy weight ribbon in'09.

The Jailbreak is an off the grid adventure run covering 3.8 miles and 14 obstacles. Metaphorically it is a chance to break free from the trappings of a lazy, fat, voyeuristic society filled with drones watching 30+ hours per week of TV while they munch on their processed food in a sack wondering why their life sucks! In reality it is an opportunity for 12,000 people to have a blast while raising enough money to help 12,000 people on the other side of the world break free from the diseases and poverty that stem from a lack of clean drinking water.

http://muddy-buddy.competitor.com/event-info/atlanta/

The total distance is approximately 6-7 miles. Each partner will complete the entire course by running 3 miles (approx) and biking 3 miles (approx). Obstacles will be designed to fit the landscape of each venue individually, but past events have been a cargo net crawl, a low wall, monkey bars, cargo net climb, or a hay bale obstacle. And at every race teams will have to conquer the famous Mud Pit before crossing the finish line together.

Physical Challenges: Feed your teammate some tasty food, do something daring, or compete in a game. Mazes, Segways, Tae Kwon Do lessons, bicycle races, holding huge fish, canoeing and many other activities were used during the 2009 season.

Scavenger Clues: Return to the finish line with an item or find a specific vendor.

Puzzles: Think anagrams, word searches, crytograms, and crosswords.

Brain Teasers: Riddles or tests to tease your brain.

Challenges: Interaction with the general public.
