Snack Options

I have been eating Paleo for a little while now. One thing that I've found pretty hard is finding snack options that fit Paleo nutrition and things that I didn't have to make. I came across these guys last week and just received my first box. www.gngsnacks.com All of their snacks are 100% organic and natural, GMO free, and preservative free...Everything meets Paleo nutrition. I got the medium box since they said it would have the best and full variety. It came in yesterday. The snacks are great! Trail mixes, bars, snack bites, and apple chips. So far my favorite has been the Cacao Goji superfood snacks.

Anyone else have some snack ideas....? Especially pre-made stuff that is easy for on the go...

I find that Paleo/Primal snack foods tend to be very pricey. Not saying overpriced as I know all about business and margins, especially at the low volume they get when starting out. I also notice that many if not most of these companies fade pretty quickly as the market just isn't able to support them. You can make jerky, dried fruits and mixes of nuts, etc. at home. I like to sprinkle walnuts and other types with curry powder and coconut oil then toast them in a 350F oven for 10 minutes. Jerky can also be made in a home oven with a simple rack, some spices and a liquid (vinegar, aminos stock, fish sauce, etc.) then bake @ 170F for 5-12 hours depending on the meat.
