Im a new mom and don't have time to always make a decent meal during the day. What are some easy, filling paleo snacks?

Of course, the sweet potato chips should be cooked in bacon fat too. Eggs and coconut flour pancakes also taste even better cooked in bacon fat and they won't stick either.

  • Avocados
  • Canned fishes (tuna, salmon, sardines, anchovies, kipper snacks) but be mindful of what oils they can be packed in
  • Make your own trail mix with bags of nuts and dried fruits (see Trader Joe's for inexpensive bags of bulk ingredients. This is my guilty pleasure, and I catch myself overeating here.
  • Any leftover fruits or vegetables that fit into your Vitamix, such as kale, parsley, banana, nuts, spices, dairy, berries, beet greens, beets, carrots, apples, and so on and so forth
  • Hardboiled eggs - make a dozen on the weekend and have them on stand-by
  • Raw citrus fruits, or any fruit for that matter

a banana with almond butter is my favorite, also fig, date, and chia energy bars with any comination of nuts, shredded coconut, dark chocolate chips, or other dried fruit make great takealong snacks, coconut butter cups, paleo trail mix (no m&m's or yogurt raisins!) or a good ol' apple with a handful of almonds or other nut will usually do the trick.

Some of my go to snacks: Eating peanut butter from the jar (or any nut butter), cashews, brazil nuts, pepperocinis are all great. Sometimes I just look around the kitchen and make a quick snack like fry up some bacon and then cut up a banana or plantain and fry the banana slices in the leftover bacon fat.

Raisins, dried mangos, homemade sweet potato fries, chips, or baked sweet potato.

Also, I like to make a big jug of green smoothie (basically kale/spinach, banana, lemon juice, ginger and any other fruit you like) and just drink that throughout the day. I find if I am hungry like having a craving I can just drink some smoothie and this feeling will go away. It's also a great way to make sure you are drinking enough water. As an added bonus, they also make my poop green.

Hi, some Pumpkin seeds, a few Pecan nuts and a satsuma will do the trick nicely. Keep you going a few hours. Cheers Jane.

Why don't you just make a couple casseroles/baked chicken/stew at the beginning of the week? That way you don't have to cook every night. Plus a couple hours of cooking on a sunday afternoon with a good book by your side can be very relaxing.

Snacks: Coconut shavings + chia seeds, avocado+Tabasco, cheese+apples, the search bar, cold leftovers, a glass of milk
