Regarding LOW CARB PROTEIN BARS. I figure this is the lesser of two evils. I enjoy sweets every so often and LOVE the 'P45 High Protein Low Carb' bar by MUSASHI (90g). It contains 45g of protein, 2.3g of carbs, 6.8g fat, and 335... (more)
Just starting Paleo. How many times a day do you typically eat? I am used to eating 6 times a day, 3 meals and 3 snacks. I am not sure about eating high fat 6 times a day. Help please!
Eat when you are hungry. Eat as much as you want. I used to eat the way you describe. Measuring and counting. LOL Now, I eat twice a day, as much as I want. Your body will adjust when you get off the carb merry-go-round.
I'm going on vacation to Italy where eggs for breakfast is basically unheard of. I'm going to be on the move constantly, so I planned to bring a bunch of Steve's Paleostix with me to eat in the mornings when I'm used to having protein. The problem... (more)

Pork rinds aka cracklins have become a weekend "cheat" snack of mine (though they're perfectly paleo, they're still kinda empty from a nutrient-dense standpoint), but I've been having trouble making them homemade because the only way to buy... (more)
You should definitely defrost first. And, thinner is always better. Let us know how it turns out.
Okay so i'm new to the forum so hello! :) but here's my question. Is it possible to eat too many nuts (almonds) I realized I do eat a lot of almonds trying to get my calories filled in before bed by snacking on nuts usually about 3 servings so... (more)
i lived off their old bagged cashes and almonds a year go when I started Paleo (and because I travel so much for work) but those are now discontinued - any thoughts on these new snacks. I see they have sees and vanilla extract so my initial... (more)
If you need to grab something to eat from starbucks, go for their protein plate: Peanut butter, eggs, cheese, apple, grapes -- or their chicken plate: chicken, lettuce, apple.
Looking for some n=1 accounts of macadamia nut consumption. I know I've gotten carried away before and eaten quite a bit and felt icky but even then I'm not sure it was the nuts or the excess. In theory, they're an excellent food source. Also... (more)
I have been eating Paleo for a little while now. One thing that I've found pretty hard is finding snack options that fit Paleo nutrition and things that I didn't have to make. I came across these guys last week and just received my first box.... (more)
I have finally reached the point with Paleo where I am totally satiated and can go hours (6 or more) without feeling hungry. This is awesome! Am I the only one who feels like food gets in your way? On the other hand, I am guilty of being a bored... (more)
Okay, not totally paleo, but practically primal. I invented this last weekend. Pork Rind with a dollop of sour cream and a slice of pickled jalapeno. Oooooh that's good!
I miss the satisfaction of a good, crunchy, grainy snack like crackers, chips, or a bowl of crunchy cereal. I miss toast... I miss "snacking" in general, but I guess the lack of snacks could be a good thing. Or is it? I'm not trying to lose... (more)
I train soldiers and we are in the field for days at a time. It's very difficult, especially in the summer when ice is not always available, to pack things to eat. Most of the guys eat canned meats or tuna(which I hate)but I want to stick to my... (more)

Background info: I was doing pretty ok 80/20 paleo for a little while, but then slipped to probably 60/40 for a month or so and have been back to maybe 90/10 for the past couple weeks. Also, paleo, SAD, or whatever, I've never been someone who... (more)
If it is working for you, stick with it. You don't want to always try to override your hunger response, because that will begin to change your hormones. If an egg or spoonful of coconut butter tides you over for a couple hours, that is a healthy... (more)
