I never really though of fruit as real food that you would eat in a meal. To me, fruit falls in the same category as nuts and seeds. They're good as snacks and that's it. I think they are nature's candy. I find it so easy to overeat or binge on... (more)
Fruits are not necessary as depending on seasonality, they were not always available. A lot of research is starting to come to light about metabolic pathways, fructose, and seasonality. It's some pretty cool stuff and it will be cool to see what... (more)

I usually eat a good-portioned breakfast and wait a good hour or two for my food to digest prior to working out. I find that???s how I perform best (when coupled with a good night???s rest, of course). But on some days, like tomorrow, I have very... (more)
I would go with a banana. The protein and fat from the egg won't help/digest fast enough, and the sweet potato takes a while to digest as well. Have a banana 30 min before and you should be fine
I eat a can of Beach Cliff Sardines (in water, tomato sauce, or mustard sauce) 3-5 times a week. They are a inexpensive, tasty, and healthy. Pre-paleo, I enjoyed them on crackers. I have now been eating them plain since going paleo, and am... (more)

I'm a snacker, I like to have something on hand to nibble on. I don't snack on bad things (all the time) but I've been thinking about getting a dehydrator to dry some fruit. From a paleo perspective, is this a good snack? too high in sugar? worth... (more)
