Advice from the ladies or gents

Do any of you have any tips on how to control or reduce clogged pores. My pores are huge and they are constantly clogged, and I just don't know how to go about clearing them out without being to aggressive on my skin. When I was vlc paleo they seemed to never be clogged, but that brought on some other symptoms; always cold, terrible athletic performance, difficulty maintaining weight etc.

Do any of you have any advice on how I could clear them out without using any harsh chemicals or going low carb?

Interesting! Seems less invasive than many methods.

Since Paleos are all about fats, I have to share this: the oil cleansing method. I do it from time to time and I like it - but it's a little more time consuming than regular cleansing. Basically you massage oil into your skin to dissolve the oily plugs in your pores, then steam and rub them away.

Try sweating, as in a sauna that is. It's good for removing dead skin cells as well as lotions and oils that can clog pores. It also helps to eliminate toxins and may flush harmful bacteria while not completely eliminating beneficial biota. The increased blood flow to the vessels near the dermis may help to increase overall skin health as well.

Lemon sugar/salt scrub is rather nice. Avocado helps too. Make sure to moisturize with sweet almond oil or olive oil or coconut oil everyday. Especially after scrubbing. Almond makes a good scrub as well.

Neutragena/garnier both have face washes w/ clay. This helps oil and pores. Baressentuals, the mineral Make-up people also have a scrub that works. Clay and Starches are your best bet.
