No it doesn't matter, but I wouldn't eat tuna everyday - sardines, I could eat daily, as I could with salmon.

Does it matter if I get tinned sardines or tuna? I love 'em!

More meat (including fish), more veggies, more fruit.

Get some unrefined coconut oil to cook with if there's only veggies oils in the house. If you have olve oil at home, though, that will suffice (i.e. save your money).

It's that easy. :-)

My shopping cart looks like this:

  1. Potatoes
  2. Sweet Potatoes
  3. Broccoli
  4. Carrots
  5. Turnip Greens
  6. Chicken (thighs or breasts, thighs are cheaper though)
  7. Tilapia or Salmon
  8. Beef (Sirloin or Beef For Stew from Krogers or Sam's Club. Sam's club has really great prices on meats)
  9. Eggs (I usually get o3 eggs at krogers, like 2.75 a dozen)
  10. Cheese (String Cheese is my Favorite, it's so fun to eat)

I find it helps to cook a few days in advance too. To have quality food ready after a 2 minute microwave session at home work or school.

if you haven't gone shopping yet, I'd focus on items you can't have shipped personally. The business model of groceries themselves don't lend themselves to well to taste and special diets other than veggie. Stuff has to store while exposed to light which is bad for flavor and nutrients in some cases in things like spices (especially obscure ones) and move off the shelves which is bad for items that cater to smaller markets. I could just be jaded though. There's also getting bulk savings on obscure things you'd have trouble finding in stores.

I agree with the sardines suggestion. Also lots of eggs. Spinach. Celery. Cucumber. Try butternut squash if not too expensive where you live. Snacks - try sliced meats, a little bit of fruit if you can afford something like blueberries, may be an apple a day (I over eat fruit so have to be careful).

I suspect one issue is snacks themselves. Best not to have them and just eat at meals. Too many people eat too many snacks so the body does not seem to get the chance kind of to calm down between meals.

Great,

What I recommend is to have a look at this article about paleo diet and see what this guys suggests.

http://www.findjessie.com/best-paleo-diets/

He shares info about a book which I recommend you should read before going to shopping.
