Recommended shoes for powerlifting?

I believe there was a similar question about 18 months ago but I did not see it answered in great detail. I am getting serious about powerlifitng (not Oly or CF just PL) and have been told by several sources that proper shoes are key. My specific issue is depth in the hole for low bar back squats. I have been training in VFF for the last few years but am switching to weightlifting shoes for squats and bench, will keep VFF for deads. Anyhoo..can folks weigh in with their experiences with the following shoes:

Pendlay Do-Win ??? http://bit.ly/VpWNIm

Adidas Adipower ??? http://bit.ly/wBGYlb

Nike Romaleos ??? http://bit.ly/OEz6s1

My bias is towards the Pendlay since they are not a ???corporate??? name and look cool. Downside is the heel looks lower than the others which is the reason I need these shoes.
Any thoughts/experiences with these brands? Thanks in advance!

Thanks but this is the exact opposite of being true if you are doing a competitive PL squat with the proper form. In any event I assume you haven't used any of these shoes? See here for form: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yha2XAc2qu8

You don’t want a heel for powerlifting squat as it makes the knees travel forward. Wrestling shoe's or converse are good and the likes of Inzer make really nice ones which are useful when the weights get silly big.

So you haven't used weightlifting specific shoes? I am looking for feedback on those. I already use VFF and know them well

I also go barefoot and use VFF's when barefoot isn't an option.

I use my VFF's or just go barefoot. It depends what else I'm doing or how cold it is, as my gym is in the garage. It's kind of distracting in bare feet when it's 20 degrees out.

Anything flat and accurately distanced and balanced from the ground.

I like the look of the Rogue Do-Win over the Pendlay

Interestengly enough, i'm on hold for my VFF for deadlifting. I began learning squating in a low bar wide stance position, and have lately tried morte upright torso, high bar sqaut, with a narrower stance, due to the incorporation fo some weightlifting drills, such as hang cleans and hang presses. For a wider stance, i always used either my deadlift slippers, but since i've almost wear them out to the max, i'v treid some chinese Chuch taylor's knock offs and they are quite good.

I'm on for trying oly shoes for squating, specially for frontal squats.
