Tools (beyond Trackers) for Self Experimentation

Disclosure: "I am a nerd and I love data"

I was wondering about availability of affordable (I know, vague) tools to provide objective, quantifiable data for self experimentation. Specifically I am interested in knowing about the various medical and electronic testing supplies that are available, whether they would be beneficial for someone conducting a self experiment, and not calorie/ composite trackers and "I feel better".

Some that I know of/ use:

Glucose Test strips Ketone Test Strips

But what about heart rate monitors, Urine test strip, accelerometers, blood pressure monitors, pedometers, peak flow meters, volumeter, the sleep cycle iPhone App? Others?
