I bought a can of sardines in water by Wild Planet and this was my first taste ever of sardines. My impression was that it tasted like a more wild version of tuna and didn't have enough fat to be palatable. Perhaps it was because it was in water, I'm not sure. It was like opening a can of tuna and eating the tuna right out of the can--boring and gross. Is this a normal experience? If you are a sardine lover, do you hate the ones in water but love the ones in oil? Which one(s) should I try? Are there any that taste good?
