Paleo Diet - Flexibility

Ive recently dropped all carbs(SAD) from my diet except fruits/vegetables ( I still consume about 200+ [grams? calories?] carbs from fruits/vegetables alone ). I have never been a big bread kinda person anyway, but occasionally after a long run I would enjoy splurging on a big sandwich. But recently, I decided its time to go cave-man training ( its what I call it ) cause I wanna get back to doing 10m a day.

Anyway, to the point. I have become SUPER flexible. It was almost overnight. Is there some type of correlation to flexibility, paleo life-style, and SAD?

@Robin, Im thinking its due to the inflammation that happens once you eat processed foods. I get it so bad, that when I eat carbs ( other than fruits/veggies ) I get massive carb-face, bloated body.

@CD, 1: I never went paleo, Ive been eating like this my whole life ( I use to have some modern carbs tho, like sandwiches and what not ). Early on in childhood, I figured out carbs gave me the "carb face" & bloated body. 2: Flexible as in, stretching before working out ( long distance running ). Almost overnight I could palm my shoes. 3: Depends how many miles I run a day. I dont really lose much weight on the diet itself ( because I eat a lot and get scared if I dont eat >= 2000 calories a day ), but it does slender me out and doesnt leave me with a carb face. Which is great!

Happened for me too...stiff joints are gone. I have wondered if this is also due to cutting out industrial seed oils? I do still eat lots of carbs though.

I'm confused by your question. (1) Why did you go to paleo? to run further? (2) What part of you is more flexible? (3) Did you loose weight?

Oh I see. I guess that would explain it, although, I was looking for more of a scientific answer. =P

I find that I am much more flexible after starting Paleo eating. The inflammation of my joints is basically gone after only a month and a half. My arthritis is gone. No meds necessary after needing them for years. I believe it is because I have totally deleted grains from my diet!
