What are some easy paleo restaurants in Austin, Tx?

Snap is still expensive. I was there just yesterday and got a delish Naked Beef with mashed cauliflower and zucchini. I also picked up some Steve’s Original Paleo Jerky.

Snap is expensive but AWESOME in a pinch or just cuz. I get lunch, dinners, breakfast sometimes, and even dessert there. Great Paleo approved snacks as well.

I wonder if CC would be into doing a Super Club set up. That would be awesome.

Agreed. Will be moving there late summer and would find it useful to know.

Bumped. I gotta know so I can eat my way through Paleo F/X in March. :) Though I may have to close my eyes and just eat some damn good BBQ.

Hey there- I'm a loooong time PH lurker but couldn't resist an Austin question.

It's not exactly a restaurant, but Caveman Cuisine is a local business that will make you a nice paleo meal on demand or at regular intervals: https://www.cavemancuisine.com/

You might also want to join us at Austin Primal Living on meetup.com for more local knowledge and some real-life community: http://www.meetup.com/Austin-Primal-Living-Group/ (there's nearly 300 of us now!) Our potlucks aren't restaurants but they sure have paleo food.

I haven't been to Snap Kitchen since late 2010, when their paleo selections were existant albeit very expensive, but I've heard that they've since shifted their focus away from paleo. Can someone else from Austin confirm?

Oh, and fair disclosure: I am friends with the fantastic people behind Caveman Cuisine, and I'm an organizer of the meetup group. Yeah, this is totally self-promotional, but hey, you asked about Austin :) May the moderators have mercy- I love you all.

I just searched "paleo" in Yelp and found this restaurant:

Snap kitchen is good but it's not exclusive to Austin (we have several here in Houston). For Austin, I would go check out Hop-Doddy's craft burgers. Place is delicious. Also Wholly Cow burgers is great too.

Picnik Austin is a Paleo/primal restaurant down to the cooking oils used and the ways the animals were raised :) bulletproof coffee, Paleo baked goods, and farm-to-table lunches

Ooooh, I'm so glad you asked! I can't say I like Snap Kitchen, but take yo-self to any barbecue place, even the one at Whole Foods is I think delicious. Also, Austin is the most tolerant place to food weirdnesses EVER- I'm extremely strict even when eating out, and I've even had people guess that I'm paleo based on my order specifications, they're pretty hep to the food trends. Haddington's is quite good, I thought, and has lots of meat. Foreign and Domestic is good, as well, and the waiters are super-nice and accomodating.
