Portland, Oregon resources needed

We live in an amazing city - yet I need a resource list. Can anyone help with sources for great pastured meats, eggs. and non-pasturized dairy. The Farmers Markets will be ending for the season and I need (if possible) a one stop shop for all that is good and Paleo. Not looking for a New Seasons (which I love), or a Whole Foods (which I don't) - but a real farm to table store. Thanks so much!

See @SamC - you've taught me something already. Watch for shady butchers. Ya can't trust anyone these days... :)

You don't do your own butchering, they deal with a local butcher/processor - but they do an awful job of it. You also have to watch for some shady butchers who will take the quality beef and sub a not so good 1/4 cow. It really is hard to know other than by reputation.

@samc - I would so buy a 1/4 cow - but like you, the butchering would be impossible for me. And I agree, I am not the demo of the coop.. at all. I don't know Bales Thriftway. Perhaps I will need to go there....

I don't particularly like http://foodfront.coop/, but I have friends who live nearby and go shopping there all the time. I'm mostly turned off by the indifferent attitude of some of the people working in the store. I am older and lack tattoos and nose rings and I get the impression that I am not worthy of any civility on the part of the employees. Could just be my aura so therefor I throw it out to you. I share your dislike of Whole Foods. New Seasons can be hit or miss depending on which one you go to.

I go to Bales Thriftway on the westside often for meat as they carry some of the Painted Hills Grassfed beef. Natural Grocers in Beaverton just opened up and they have a good selection of foods you might like, although the produce was a bit lacking when I went. We purchased a 1/4 cow from Tualatin Acres and the meat was good, the butchering was awful and I'd not buy again due to that.
