Raw Goat Milk Recipes Please! Yahoo!!

I have finally found a small farm for raw goat milk and bought a share. I can barely stand it I'm so excited. We're planning on drinking it of course but...I want to make yogurt, ice cream...maybe...cheese? I think there is too little fat for butter.

Anybody care to share their recipes, source for recipes or tips?

No problem. One of the only flame wars I ever got into was with a woman who was making "raw" fermented ghee on youtube as "medicine". Could have drowned her in her pot of simmering "RAW" butter. AHhhh

I think that is a perfectly good pet peeve. I remember Sally Fallon pleading for people not to heat raw milk on some podcast. Thank you so much for the recipe and advice on the yogurt.

This is just a pet peeve but people pay outrageous premiums for raw dairy and then scald it to make ice cream, yogurt and cheese. It isn't raw any more if you do that! (BREATH!...ok)

Maybe you know that, this is just in general, it's just the silliest thing I've ever heard.

As far as recipes I've played wit this one recently -

I can tell you that deal with raw dairy is very hit and miss with fermentation, at least compared to pasturized dairy. You can lose batches pretty easily. You have to be really, really scrupulous about kitchen cleanliness.
