Yeah your right. I haven't eaten it for ages. I don't remember it being that bad. Pity 'cause it tastes pretty good :(

Peter, I'm sorry but I gotta downvote this for the ingredients (grain, soy, & preservative). It looks really tasty, but the OP seems new to paleo & this product might cause some confusion.

As far as I know it's not something you can "get". You have to make it. It's basically some nuts and almond butter and a banana all mushed up. It's good! Google Paleo almond oatmeal and you should find several recipes. They are all basically the same.

Almond Porridge

2/3 C. coconut milk 1/4 C. shredded, organic coconut (unsweetened) 1 t. vanilla a pinch of salt 2 T almond flour 1 T. golden flaxseed meal honey to taste

Heat the milk in a small sauce pan and add in the remaining ingredients, cook on medium heat until it reaches the desired thickness.

Add in anything you'd like.....banana, fresh berries, or nuts! Enjoy!!!

Hope this helps!

Mark Sisson has a Paleo Oatmeal in his primal blueprint quick and easy meals cookbook. Ive had it and it taste a lot like Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal. So yummy! Ive played around with the recipe a bit and this is my variation.

1/4 cup almonds 3/4 cup pecans 1/2 to a whole ripe banana 1/4 tsp cinnamon ground 1/2 tsp of vanilla pinch salt splash of coconut milk and more coconut milk, butter and berries to top.

Put the nuts in a food processor or blender until slightly bigger than desired consistency, then add your banana, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and coconut milk and blend!

I then heat it up in a pot. Bowl it up and put butter, coconut milk and berries to taste.

I think his recipe is 1/2 almonds 1/2 pecans. And his leaves out the vanilla and only uses 1/2 banana.

I hope this was helpful and you enjoy it as much as I do!

It's not almond oatmeal but it is pretty close

http://www.glutenfreeforme.com.au/products/cereals-breakfast/brookfarms-gluten-free-macadamia-muesli-350g/

It goes really well on fruit and yoghurt for breakfast.
