Hi I need an easy packed lunch idea

I work as a deer stalker and need something easy to eat instead of a sandwich, am thinking i will have to continue eating carbs at lunchtime because i have to pack a sandwich and carry it with me in my pocket. I can't be pulling out a fork and tupperware container for lunch as i am sneaking up on a deer. Any ideas anyone?

homemade beef jerky, almonds & apple slices would be my go to lunch in that situation.

Though this takes a lot of prep you could try this. Pemmican has been a past time of many subsistence living cultures. Some even use fish! The lakota people call it wasna or 'anything ground up.' Give it a try!

Good hunting! @clarks5

^^ good idea! Reminds me, I like homemade sweet potato fries cold so that could work, too!

Maybe a kind of "snack plate" lunch...baggie of beef jerky, some raw almonds, plantain chips for some starch and a few raw veggies thrown in there

Cold steak cut into strips is always a good option for me. In all honesty, however, if you are trekking through the woods all day a few carbs would likely be a good idea. Maybe a healthy sandwich (homemade meat, avocado, spinach, etc) with some sprouted wheat bread would be acceptable in your situation - provided you can digest the sprouted grains w/out problems.
