If you are freaking out at home with anxiety for days, you probably need to see the doctor anyways because something like this shouldn't freak you out this hard.

Going to the doctor with no symptoms does nothing but waste healthcare dollars on hypochondria.

Basically, one package tested positive for Listeria, so they recalled anything that was produced in that batch.

Most likely you will be fine, don't eat any more, and take it back to Kroger to get a refund.

If you have any symptoms, like gastrointestinal distress, headaches, sore muscles, etc, you can call your doctor. Though, treatment is mostly antibiotcs, so you don't want to take them unless necessary.

Listeria is not that bad. Anti-biotics can take care of it, those releases are worst case scenarios. Most healthy people with healthy guts will get a bout of diarrhea and then they are done with it. In fact, most healthy people won't even get the bacteria.

When they say weakened immune system they mean AIDS.

I'm pretty sure that if you had something to worry about you wouldn't be asking us about it if you know what I mean.

You can certainly return it for a refund, but you can also cook the remaining spinach. Saute it, steam it, throw it in bone broth, etc. 158*F for two minutes kills listeria.

Go with what you need to do for peace of mind. The stress is certainly doing your body no favors. If you start experiencing symptoms, definitely call your doctor, but most people will not be affected by the spinach outside of psychosomatic issues.

Go see your doctor if you are really very concerned and not showing symptoms yet. Otherwise, just be diligent for any symptoms of listeria and as soon as you suspect ANYTHING head to doctor/emerg. The sooner you find it if you have it, the better.
