I sometimes eat a peace of raw milk cheese in one peace? Do you think that is healthy? Can it jave any bad side effects? Maybe acne?

Its around 4oz so around 100gramms.

It is about eating a very limited number of foods for a while to let your gut heal, and then slowly adding in additional foods over time.

still a nice answer. maybe this helps me a lot or other people. i like your answer. Because sardines are small fishes, and i feel much better eating small fishes than a big animal like a cow. And sardines eat phytoplancton they are very low in the food chain.

in my opinion the best alternative in terms of price/protein/nutrients would be sardines, but of course that's comparing completely different things.

What I would really like to know is if there is any way to reduce sensitivity. I'm going to look into the posibility of trying a GAPS diet to get rid of my slight sensitivity to dairy.

im not sure on that i think paleo people not got that amount on milk stuff we got. if you live in a culture were meat consume is easy peasy maybe thats fine. here you get better diary maybe. Paleo people also not had grassfed domesticated cows. On the other way paleo people hunt and gathered honey and fruits and roots and plants. What did they eat intead of diary? Probably it depend where they live, in hot or cold or middle climate. And also what was available. Some are also starved.

this is good thought i also think. i think also on the salt. also i think raw milk has aprox. 4 precent fat or sheep milk 5% , cheese nearly 40percent fat. Sometimes i dont feel good to buy meat. and i cause the butchers dont look as happy here. And the people who sel cheese are much more happy. its just a mind game...:)

How much is too much is an unaswerable question. The question should be, how much is too much for you.

Try going 100% no dairy for a good while, then reintroduce good quality cheese and see what happens. Do you feel better? Do you feel worse?

Cheese has a lot of salt. In addition, I don't think it's sensible to eat so much of any one thing...

cheese... I say go for it if you don't have a visible problem. 4 oz is not insane, but more will be a nutritional waste of good quality product. Try to choose aged cheese (it can still be raw or cultured after pateurization).

Right now I am on big cheese kick, rediscovering all the types that I used to love - French Roquefort, Swiss Gruyer, Spanish Manchego and Zamorano...so much fun and flavor! They are not cheap, but I prefer to eat 2 oz of these, cheap cheese doesn't taste good to me.

I was just thinking about how we can learn to listen to our bodies and see what would be best for us at this time. When I changed my diet I gave it up, along with the beloved potatoes. Was hard at the beginning but then the cravings went away. But after a couple of years I felt like I am just never felt satisfied (I was not on very low carb). Now I enjoy a nice medium baked potato or yam a day, and cheese became my go-to desert. I am so happy I did - I can honestly say that after adding potatoes I noticed how much better and smoother my digestion is! (May be bcs it is such a great source of resistant starch and helps the gut bacteria). And a hot baked potato with some Roquefort mashed in...ahhh

Dairy is not paleo. Hunter-gatherers never milked a wild buffalo or elk. They would have needed to domesticate animals to do that. And if they had domesticated animals they would have not found the need to hunt...yet they hunted.
