Are there any downsides? I eat alot of meat but have sides of spinach, berries, and tomatoes regularly for lunch and dinner. I keep hearing about oxalates and possibly goitrogens and crappy feelings from other posts but I don't see a single post that concentrates all the good and bad about spinach so please help :)

Are you saying the spinach was contaminated with latex? I eat baby spinach salad every day, it's one of the few veg that doesn't make me bloat...

Just pay attention to your digestion. If it starts feel a little "rough" in there (hence "roughage), try cooking your greens instead for a change.

Just vary it up and you'll be fine. Add some Kale, mustard greens, etc to the mix. Berries are great just make sure to diversify.

As someone with a latex allergy, I was really unsuccessful eating only raw spinach as my greens for a week. My belly swelled up like you would not believe, and was in a world of hurt. The funny thing is, I had never noticed this symptom before when I was mixing up my greens... Also, spinach is high in histamine. Just sayin' that it's something to be aware of, not that you need to be afraid to eat anything!

Do what works for you and pay attention to what your body is telling you, but mixing it up is smart (in my opinion) as you'll get more varied nutrients.
