If you're following the anal-retentive version of Paleo, sweet potatoes aren't allowed either.

I bet I can digest a raw potato over rocks, wood, grass, metal and a lot of other things on this planet.

Probably one of the hardest things to digest on this planet.

Agreed. I can't do regular potatoes of any color raw.

Cut 'em up and salt 'em up. One of my favorite snacks.

I eat sweet potatoes raw sometimes. I enjoy the taste and crunchiness, but I won't lie. Gassy!

Can't be digested properly but before I went Paleo I used to eat them while Mon chopped them up to make homemade Taters in olive oil and squash. Yum! No protein just carbs and fat. But add some meat in the mix and it sort of becomes primal but nowadays I don't touch potatoes as they're not Paleo not the best for you anyways best to stick with sweet potatoes if you must have starchy food.

I ate some raw as a kid. They made me feel sick. Now I now they have quite a few toxins in them that are destroyed by heat. Don't do it.

Tons of Antinutrients. Particularly two glycoalkaloid saponins. Unless you mean sweet potatoes...
