On the food combining note. I've been doing it more and more. I feel much better after a meal of primarily one macronutrient (carbs/protein) and usually mix in fat. I've been having some high-fat meals on their own and find that too much of it can indeed mess up digestion of protein/carbs but mixing protein and carbs definitely leaves me with more indigestion.

I've been arbitrarily eating meat-based meals, starch-based meals, and fruit-based meals and waiting until I digest to eat the next. I often have greens/salad with or 1-2 hours after the starch/protein meals.

thanks for this answer. I do feel "complete" and satisfied after drinking raw milk but sometimes wondered if i needed to add anything to "the meal". This helps. I'll continue to enjoy by itself most of the time.

If you subscribe to the whole food combining thing (I'm starting to) then I'd say to avoid having milk with high-protein foods (it obviously reduces stomach acidity) but even then, in moderation (like 4 oz), milk should go okay with most anything.

It doesn't exactly fit into most of the "food combining" categories. It's not particularly high in any of the macros. It's a balanced food and thus may be best taken on its own or with non-starchy veggies if consumed in abundance.
