Why are people so damn impatient?

Someone posts a question, gets an answer or two within an hour or two and deems it the BEST ANSWER. I'm not even going to respond to someone who is so jumpy that they take the first babble they come across. <rant-over>

something else, i'm pretty sure on the old site it use to be labelled 'accepted answer', not best answer, which is probably a better description

i totally agree on your 1st point.

on your 2nd point, i say, leave the questions open. that way you may get plenty more opinions/views/info etc & those other answers may help more people out (other than the asker). If you look thru old posts, there must be hundreds of answers that have been upvoted loads more than the 'accepted' answer. just showing that others may not agree the accepted answer is the best answer from their own perspective/situation.

My sense of humor requires that I accept your answer, others need not respond! LOL

if the post was the answer to their question and they no longer require help, then why not? not like they care if someone posts a 'better' answer after they no longer need assistance. maybe selecting a best answer should close the thread.

chillax sam, remember it's only the internet. & stress could cause inflammation

& i wouldn't worry about an answer being 'accepted' if you can add to the discussion post an answer, i do, & i know others do as well.
