Sneaky 'Paleo Hacked' Meals

Answered on August 19, 2014

Im talking about quick & easy snacks or quazi-meals that take <5 mins to make, preferably less than 2.

For instance today I saw on the livstrong's web site a idea for 'protein cookies' where you mix 1 scoop of protein powder with 1 egg white, then microwave for 30 seconds. the result was very tasty

I also microwave frozen veggies (broccili, colliflower & carrots) for a couple of minutes and mix with canned tuna in olive oil & home made mayo (just egg yolks and olive oil)

Another 'treat' is paleomg's chocolate cake in a mug - takes less than 3 mins including prep time

Anyway, these aren't meant to be stable's of an everyday paleo diet, but just a quick, tasty meal when you're in a rush

So the question, has anyone else got any sneaky hacks for quick, fast, filling meals?

Small can of tuna packed in olive oil. Chili pepper paste. Salt and pepper, but go light on it! Mash it up together.

Slice an acorn squash in half, remove the seeds, add 1 tablespoon on butter and lots of salt to each hole, microwave until soft. Oh my god. This stuff is better than ice cream. Works best if the acorn squash is orange inside, the ones that are yellow inside don't taste good at all.

Grab a large soft leaf of lettuce (I like butterhead), smear some avocado/mustard/mayo on it, lay lunch meat on it, roll it up.

Berry and nut cereal. Dump them in a bowl with heavy cream or coconut milk.

But why don't you just make snacks ahead of time, then leave them in the fridge (at home or at work)? You can even make several at once while you watch your favorite TV show. Here's some such snacks:
- Meatballs
- Hard boiled eggs, good with a shake of salt. (the eggs come out better if you steam them, though)
- Cut chorizo in slices, fry it in some bacon fat at high heat, leave in the fridge.

Wow the cookies look awesome!!

But also you should try this for Paleo bread: try 4-5 tablespoons flaxseed, 0-4 teaspoons of honey (depending on preference), 1 egg, 0.5 teaspoons baking powder. Mix together and microwave for 90 seconds.

Smear cream cheese on salami slice. Stick some peperoncini slices on it. Roll and consume.

Favorite snack.

It's not sneaky, but it is yummy and fast.

Canned sardines thrown in a skillet with a few eggs, some salt and pepper.

Lots of good fat and good protein
