what does "closed as 'too localized'" mean?

According to the FAQ page, questions should be:

??? detailed and specific
??? written clearly and simply
??? of interest to at least one other person somewhere

They never came back. I assume green slimey nipples got the best of them.

"Dear Paleohacks, I've got green slime dripping from my nipples and my nose itches all the time. Does this mean I am now wheat intolerant? Or should I increase my bone broth consumption? HELP?!?!?!?!?! Signed, Drippy Itch."

Seems very arbitrary. Isn't it a good thing to be "detailed and SPECIFIC"?

So when someone asks, I can't lose weight. I'm eating paleo. That's broad. So that's good. They certainly shouldn't say, I have been paleo of x number of weeks and my starting weight was y and my goal is z. this is my exercise regimen and this is my eating regimen. That's certainly localized and it's encouraged. Surely there's something more than being a "very specific health problem"

So only vague and broad questions should be left open? Practically every question on here is someone asking about a specific problem they're experiencing and then one of the first comments is something like "please provide more information." Then the person edits it to provide further information.

Often used for closing very specific health problems. Most often with an admonition to see a doctor first.
