Best protein bar (healthiest one with highest amount with smallest sugars/carbs)? I'm a runner looking for post-workout bar in case I don't have enough food, time, etc.

The best protein bars are the ones you make yourself, as then you have control over all the ingredients. I've made these bars from Mark's Daily Apple and they were pretty tasty and easy to make. The recipe includes the nutrition info at the end.

Tanka Bars looks interesting. I have not bought any yet but I might in the very near future.

After reading the labels on nearly every bar in TJ's & Mother's I settled on

Power Crunch Bars.... they're not "great", they're typical "chemical soup" (the list is long with very small font)

BUT they have decent fat, protein, carb mix & low sugar and not expensive.

I used to use ThinkThin bars as an alternative to Fusion bars but TT's had sugar alcohol so I swithced to PCrunches.

Best to make your own as noted above...I'm too lazy to fire that process up but I suppose once "perfected" might be no more effort than a detour to TJ's.

Oh there is an online custom bar formultor that will make bars from your list of ingredients chosen from their available ingredients.

I toyed with formulaing bars on the second website but never pulled the trigger.

These are touted as "better bars" but they're kinda high in sugar (especially for someone like me....no super active)
