Lower Fat==do I up protein or carbs?

If I was to lower my fat should I up carbs or protein?

Up your carbs. Fats are largely energy, as are carbs, protein is lousy for energy.

Up your carbs, protein should stay the same. But experiment and see what works. There is no one-size-fits-all.

You can only increase your protein to 35%, after that your body does not metabolize it effectively, you start seeing signs of rabbit starvation such as diarrhea.

So after that you would have to increase your carbs, if you want to lower your fat. Personally i try not to go over 30%, i don't think there us any point above that since your body prefers carbs or fat for fuel and 30% is enough for any repair/ muscle building from exercise.

If you don't weight train i would say 20% is a good number, i know paul jaminet and dave asprey both tout this figure.

Why do you need to decrease your fat intake? I would increase protein and add a bit more carbohydrates.

Why are you decreasing fat?

If I were to decrease fat I would increase my protein over my carbohydrate intake.
