Getting enough protein?

How much protein do I need to consume to get the weight loss moving? I seem to be getting lots of fat, keep the carbs low but I don't think I'm getting enough protein? I usually have 2 eggs with 3 strips of bacon in the morning then have a steak or chicken beat for dinner. Also should I be staying under 20g of carbs to loss weight?
