Hi,

I wonder, if mixing fat and protein is bad in the food combination rules, then how will I make beef stir fry or beef steak on pan?

Don't fry in olive oil, not thermally stable at high tempertures. Fry in coconut oil, tallow/dripping, lard, butter, ghee...any fat that's solid at room temp.

Who told you this nonsense? Like NooMoahk said nature packages protein and fat together, it would be quite novel for humans to eat them separately. The only food combo prohibition I've ever really given serious consideration is combining fruit with meat if someone has reflux or SIBO.

I am quite new to Paelo but have researched lots and love the principles of the life style. From everything I have read it doesn't mention not combining fat and protein, in fact it encourages it, protein we need and fat for satiety but the right types of fat.

Meat contains both protein and fat. Nut's contain both protein and fat. If those are both suboptimal then humans would have to be very selective herbivores, which I don't think we are. Or perhaps one could just eat insects?

Mixing fat and protein is NOT bad. Frying meat in fat is fine...olive oil or coconut oil just not too hot.

What gave you that impression?
