Diarrhea on GAPS Diet

Hey everyone,

I'm doing the GAPS intro diet right now to resolve some digestive issues related to celiac disease. The last two BMs I had were steatorrhea - floating, pale stools.

I've been eating meats and bone broths. I have not added vegetables or probiotics yet, and frankly I'm hesitant to. I definitely think there are unwelcome guests in my small intestine of one type or other. I've heard that probiotics are not great for those with SIBO or a compromised immune system. What should I do?

The very first question in this case is: do you have a gallbladder?

If you read GAPS, there's a very clear section in there that explains why probiotics during SIBO are a good idea. Why not just get the book?

A pale stool can mean you are producing inadequate bile. Eat less fat or increase bile flow.

Get the book and see a medical practitioner of some kind about your liver and gallbladder.
