PCC is a food co-op in the northwest and in this month's newsletter they have featured an article about Paleolithic eating. Any thoughts from the community? Did they cover everything?

Is veganism no longer the big kid on the block at PCC? Yayyyyy! That probably explains why the people who have bagged my groceries the last few times didn't pick up the meat I was buying like it was a dog turd (bag over hand, disgusted look on face, and chucking it as quickly as possible into my grocery bag). I even had the pleasure of one bagger sharing her favorite lamb recipes on the most recent trip.

It is a good article. However, I am enjoying all the comments on facebook about the article. My favorite comment so far, "can you be vegan and eat paleo?" Uhh... fat chance.

I'm in CO and Vitamin Cottage (a local chain of grocers) did an article about saturated fat, how new research was showing it didn't contribute to heart disease and that eating like people did in the paleolithic could be beneficial to one's health. Even though the message was toned down to make it a little more palatable to longtime grain-eaters, I was very happily surprised.

Your article in PCC is even better; it's written by Stephen Guyanet, who I'd say has a very good reputation in the Paleo community. Nice to see Paleo reaching the mainstream - unless you have stock in agribusiness.

Oh shoot, the cat is out of the bag! Is this why the grassfed lamb, bones, and organ meat suddenly got more expensive and more picked over?

Probably good long term for supply, but in the meantime looks like things are going to get a little more competitive at the meat counter there.
