Omega-3 supplements safe during pregnancy?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with morning sickness for about a month now. I was hoping that being paleo this wouldn't happen to me, but it seems we are not immune! My main concern at the moment is that I have consumed zero fish since my morning sickness began, while previously having fish about 3-4 times a week. I was also taking omega-3 supplements. My question is - how much is safe to take? And what brands are people taking?

Congratulations, Rosey!

I recommend 1000 mg Neptune Krill Oil to all my pregnant clients who are unable/unwilling to eat fish. Low/no chance of mercury contamination or oxidation. NOW brand is cheap on iherb.com.

Our specialist recommended 1000mg during early pregnancy for my wife (she was carrying twins). There are brands that derive their O3 from algae vs fish (no mercury) and brands that filter their oil to remove mercury, both types should be safe. Some prenatal vitamins include O3 (CitraNatal is one, and they use algae derived O3 to keep mercury out of the equation).

FWIW, and I am in no way affiliated with them, Mission Pharmaceuticals (makers of CitraNatal) is based in Texas. The factory where they make their vitamins is ~15 mins from my apartment. Being American in origin, you can be very confident that the vitamin is not contaminated with other compounds (as some allege Chinese vitamins/supplements can be).
