Hello,

I'm new to paleo and a type 1 diabetic. I'm looking to gain muscle mass and tone up a little. I"m combining paleo with a lot of the ideas from Dr. Bernstein's book, The Diabetes Solution. I was wondering if you had any idea's for low carb pre-workout meals/snacks that will give me sustainable energy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Hannah

I though coconut oil was pretty high in MCT's. Could you explain what the difference is? Thanks!

I have some I've been using in my bullet proof coffee. So you just eat a spoonful on it's own? or with something? Thanks!

I would suggest a lovely mushroom omelette. Cook the mushrooms in butter, add at least 3 beaten eggs & salt to taste. Exercise any time from 90 mins later. Enjoy.

You should really try out coconut oil as a pre-workout snack. Take a spoonful or two and you will be getting tons of ready for use energy. It is great for cooking, eating, and even your skin.
