Wondering if this type of pork lard is super legit ?? Was gonna order tomorrow. Would love your input

Still, you have to have some lard in the house, Sam. Some meats are too lean, and eggs are best cooked with lard. Also lard comes from rendered skin layers, so it is not exclusive to fatty meat. Get both!

I'd trust U.S. Wellness meats. They've been around awhile and haven't been the subject of any scandal. Their price for lard, however, is outrageous. If you can obtain pastured pork fat from a reputable source, it's absurdly easy to render your own lard for half the cost.

All lard is refined, as in rendered.

The only negative with this method is that you don't get to eat all that delicious fatty pastured pork.
