Hack my reduced poop ... quantity.

I have been eating paleo for about a year, I was doing it pretty 'low-carb' style.

A month ago I finished my studies and got a job in my hometown in China. Then I can only do paleo at breakfast and dinner. When I eat my lunch in my workplace I do it as paleo as possible but it's difficult to avoid vegetable oil and MSG.

Since it's in my hometown, I also pretty much have to go back to my parents' once a week. They recognize the problem of vegetable oil and MSG (they use EVOO now, which shouldn't be bad), but believe in high carb, low fat, low cholesterol, so every time I go there I'll need to eat quite a big serving of rice (fortunately we've reached an agreement that we could eat fish when they think I've had enough meat for the week) every meal.

I am currently working out 3-4 times a week (weight lifting), my weight is steady, I don't have acne problems that I used to have when I was on SAD (with processed food and dairy), but recently, I noticed that both my poop frequency ... and quantity has dropped significantly.

Now I only poop every other day in quite little quantity, and it's not very solid.

Is it normal? What seems to be the cause? Hack please.

I would vote twice for this, if I could. I would only reiterate one thing: if everything else feels normal, you're fine. If you are straining or having issues, then something may be amiss. Frequency (to an extent) and volume are not directly correlated to healthy eating.

Perfectly normal. No worries. On low carb you feed your gut bacteria less and hence produce less waste.
