This was a little tongue in cheek. I agree with Travis, I don't see the point in using mummies as a source other than curiosity/mad-science experiment.

Well, people ate mummies up until the 19th Century, to cure stomach aches, among other things. I guess they were onto something. http://fact-o-tron.com/facts/people/powdered-mummies/

Seems like bacteriotherapy makes a lot of sense, but it'd probably be a lot easier to just use verifiably healthy people who are alive today.
