Hi, it's about 6 months that I'm on PDH/paleo diet. From when I started to follow this type of diet I've dramatically reduced the times I poop weekly and the consistency seems fine, I rarely feel constipated. Is it normal? I was used to poop... (more)
I've had floating stools ever since I began a high-fat PaNu-style diet - has anyone else? I'll ask my doctor about it next time I go, but I was wondering whether anyone had any insight on the implications of it? Is it something to worry about? ... (more)
I feel like I'm always constipated or making diarrhea...sometimes both. I do most of the usual paleo things???lots of veggies and meat, CrossFit, sleep???and some bonus things, like using a squatty potty adapter, but I find that the only... (more)
Sounds like you might have the wrong gut flora, or a parasite.Try making and eating more home fermented foods. kraut, kvass, pickles, kimchee, kombucha (not the commercial stuff).
Title says it all - I have a history of gut issues (leaky gut, suspecting SIBO, bloating, etc) and found that a keto diet kept the bloating away and BM's regular. I'm currently doing Lyle Mcdonald's PSMF (Protein Sparing Modified Fast) where... (more)
TMI? Not on Paleohacks... My girlfriend goes consistently upon waking nearly every single day. Out of bed, to the pot. Lucky! Me: could be any time but usually missed the chance if it doesn't happen by 4:30PM. Getting pretty regular... (more)
When I feel a poop coming on, I am already at the point where I could go immediately or hold it in. When I get in the bathroom, I squat on the toilet seat and poop immediately, maybe have to wipe 1 or 2 times and the whole ordeal is over in... (more)
Sometimes I get poops that leave a never-ending trail on my toilet paper. Other times, I wipe and realize I didn't even need to because there's nothing there. What causes these no-wiping-necessary bowel movements?
This week I've mistakenly been supplementing with potato flour instead of resistant potato starch (info on the packet misleading) - things suddenly got streaky down below.
Hey guys, another poop question, my poop is hard, lumpy & difficult to pass, sometimes like stone. I eat pretty well, lots of grassfed meat, lots of fat, some veggies, starch, bit of fruit, sauerkraut etc..I also use a squat pad to poop.... (more)
So my problem is.. One hour after eating veggies my stomach makes a gurgling noise and I have very loose stool. I was on a fat fast/zero carb eating plan for 7 days ( some days less than 10 g carbs, most days in the 18-30 range). I just brought... (more)
Ate yogurt for the first time in a year and my poo went extremely soft and changed color. I haven't been right for a week, but seems to be subsiding. No pain, just disgruntled. Checking to see if this is normal as I do not recall yogurt doing... (more)
OK I'm going to ask you brilliant people a "poop question"! Has anyone else on this diet had the experience of having their BMs smell like burning plastic? Brief history- I am a 53 year old female, very healthy except for some arthritis, which... (more)
I drink at-least 8 cups of water a day. I decreased my fiber cause I was eating way too much, but still hard and dry and ball like and I have to force. I just came off an oxy powder cleanse where my poop was grainy. I just dunno. (more)
I've been eating a Primal diet for the past 3 years. On my longer stretches without any cheats, I find that my doodoos are not that solid, more like kind of soft and greasy. I'm guessing that it's from the high fat content of my diet. I'm... (more)
I've often heard or read about the benefits of squatting during a bowel movement, but I've never done it. I know that it is how most of the world goes number two and what our ancient ancestors probably did, but my westernized sitting toilet just... (more)
I'm on day 24 of the Whole 30. I've been having trouble pooping. My stools are not hard but it feels like everything is all stuck inside my gut and I can feel I need to poop but nothing wants to move. Feels like it's sludge inside :( When I pass... (more)

I have been eating paleo for about a year, I was doing it pretty 'low-carb' style. A month ago I finished my studies and got a job in my hometown in China. Then I can only do paleo at breakfast and dinner. When I eat my lunch in my workplace I do... (more)

Hemorrhoids have been part of my life since the age of 15 (bad loo "technique" combined with bad diet, constipation, and probably genes too). But they've never been so bad since going Paleo about 2 months ago. I've been in a lot of pain in the... (more)

Chocolate (like coffee) increases gut motility, so that could make your stools softer. If your reaction is strong, it's also possible you have an intolerance.
Hi all, I am a 22 year old mother of an 11 month old. I have lost 50lbs since giving birth by eating primal. It has been relatively easy, and I am slowly feeling less pain all over and my bowel movements went from diarrhea every day to 'normal'.... (more)
