Official Restore my Identifiable Reputation Points POST

Commented on September 21, 2013
Created September 15, 2013 at 1:06 AM

So there are several high level members here, me who had almost 11k points, caveman mike with 5500, raydawg with 16k. Now our points are negligible. This is an issue that needs resolving. Please, any members who have mismatched identifiable points post your name in the comments below so we can make sure administrative action is taken. I understand we had a last minute jump to a new site and if site admins need help organizing/querying the data or otherwise aiding the site then I'd be happy to volunteer time, but this is an issue that needs to be resolved.

@dzone suggested that the move was not voluntary and that it had to be done in a very short timeframe.

I'd consider you a high level member also daz. At 10k I had access to certain mod tools and ability to vote to close/open questions.

Hi Stephen. It looks like you got pushed into a new user - there are several accounts with the same username and email. Please email support@answerhub.com and we'll get you straightened out. Your points aren't gone - you simply got pushed into one of several user accounts that you had before. You do also have additional powers - downvoting is returning, but there are others - usually in the "Gear" on each post.

i agree that all those affected should have their points restored, you earned them & nice to have. not sure what 'high levels members' are (sounds a bit elitist), if there were any member levels on the old site, that all looks to have gone

Hey everyone, So regarding the transition - we literally HAD to make it by the first week of september, or Paleohacks would have ceased to exist. We have a redesign of the site done, we are hopefully going to have it implemented by next week - with much of the functionality of the original site restored. Downvotes WILL be back, for sure.

ALSO - regarding reputation, if you e-mail me at dave@paleohacks.com with your username and details of reputation amounts, etc., I can forward your issues to our tech team and have them fix it up for ya.

Thanks for your patience. I will be posting an update on this section in a few minutes with some screenshots of the design, etc.!

I am a fairly new user but I am still missing badges from the old site to the new.

If admin cannot make the transition within a reasonable period of time, I really think he should restore the old site, and to separately, first get things working on a beta. Then make a change when the new platform is ready. Because such moves often require absolutely HUGE amount of time to work out the kinks.

As I see it, the current site is nowhere close to having the features that made the previous site as popular as it was.

I still have my points but they used to be visible at the top of the page when I logged on. I used this as a guide that something I said had been voted up. Now I can't see them unless I click on my logo.
