How to much feed pigs that have about a 1/2 of an acre?

We recently bought a property with a small field. It looks like the field used to be larger, but hasn't been cared for and the woods are starting to reclaim the field with small trees and brush. We are going to try to use pigs to start taking back the field. We are putting two piglets on about a 1/2 acre of land to raise out until the fall (when they'll go in the freezer). We have been trying to find businesses that might have left over veggie scraps, but the competition seems to be pretty fierce out here. Does anyone have a guess of how quickly the pigs will clear that much area and how much we should be supplementing their food? We were hoping to use as many kitchen scraps as possible, but assume that we will have to use some grain. Any thoughts on amounts? Thanks!

Eating pigs... paleo. Growing pigs... not paleo.

Can you get some wooly pigs or Mangalitsa pigs or Hungarian wild boars?
