I was on cron-o-meter and inputted my food for the day when i saw i apparently ate 45 mg of phytosterol today. So my question is what is this stuff? Is it bad or good, and how much is too much of it?

From the little I've read they definitely lower your cholesterol and triglycerides, but that doesn't seem to lead to any change in health outcomes.

They are plant sterols that are touted to naturally lower you cholesterol. I don't know enough about them to say if they are good or bad but it's probably bs.
