Much Lighter Period?

Hey Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a much lighter period while being paleo?

I have been paleo for about 6 months and most days I practice intermittent fasting. My period lasts about 4 days and I can get away with just using a liner. I'm not sure if my exercise regimen has anything to do with it, but I do HITT 2x, the Sprint 8 protocol and some yoga once a week. Also, I'm not underweight; 5'5, 150 lbs, and about 20% body fat. I'm not pregnant and have been on the Nuva ring for about a year.

Thanks!

I think perhaps your reproductive system is still in a transition mode. Mine still is at two months. My friend's reproductive system returned to good health after fourteen months, and she was never unhealthy to begin with. Also, intermittent fasting...I have had successes, but I had to tweak the following: My hours. That 4 hr thing didn't work for me. I did 8. Then, I listened to Kevin on RobbWolf.com and eat 3 meals a day. Made my period normal. I fast for two consecutive days (for that 48 hr female ketosis activation) for every three weeks, o whenever I feel sick, which is rare.

I also have reduced cramping. I eat red meat about 3x a week and get about 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

I have also much reduced cramping. I sleep about 7-8 hours a night and eat red meat probably 3 times a week.

I also experience a lighter flow. No more cramping! The flow is not tiny, but it's regular now. :D I used to have heavy flow. But I don't know about just using a liner. You don't have to use a pad? I run through those quick; not as quick as before, but I still have to use pads.

If it is a concerning matter, consider the following: Are you eating enough red meat? Are you sleeping enough? This is a real toughie for me. Are you sleeping around 10? Sleeping around 11/12 wasn't great for me.
